Named after the onetime Dodgers batboy and clubhouse manager who died of a sudden heart attack at age 28, the Charles DiGiovanna Award is bestowed upon the player who “most typifyied Dodger tradition.” In 1969, that honor went to Claude Osteen, and here it is: a silver metal cup on top of a wood base with BBWAA enamel medallion at the top. It is engraved: "Claude Osteen Los Angeles Dodgers Most Typified Dodgers Tradition 1969 Charles DiGiovanna Award." Measuring 16.5", it is in EX condition and comes directly from Osteen. The award was first given out five years earlier, in 1964.
