The grit and power of "Old Time Hockey" are woven through the threads of this vintage Detroit Red Wings jersey, game-worn by Lorne Ferguson, circa 1957. This beautiful road red classic is made of wool, and all original with Ferguson's number 14 sewn on the sleeves and back, and the famed Winged Wheel logo of the Red Wings adorns the chest. The collar bears Olympic and size 48 tagging and it shows tremendous use with board burns, cuts, scuffs and even some blood, with pilling inside and at least 10 team repairs. Ferguson plied his trade in the Motor City for portions of two seasons in his 10 year career, and was part of the 1956-57 squad with teammates Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay leading the Wings to a first place regular season finish in the Original Six era.
