1969 was a landmark year as man walked on the moon, music history was made at Woodstock and the expansion Seattle Pilots enjoyed their only year of existence before moving to Milwaukee and becoming the Brewers. From that fateful season comes this exceptionally rare Opening Day "Trouble Pass" and official game program. The pass features pencil and print, and is signed by the man from whom this collection emanates: team executive Lewis Matlin. The program is partially scored but is definitely from the game: a 7-0 win against the White Sox in the home opener. There are a couple of creases and some writing on the back but is otherwise in EX+ condition. The Pilots went 64-98 in their only season in the Emerald City. Seven years after their departure, another expansion team - the Mariners - filled the baseball void in the Pacific Northwest.
