If you were standing in these shoes back in the Teens, you would have witnessed the ascension of a rookie named Ruth, been a part of the last World Championships in Red Sox history, and played such a fine game that the Hall would open wide for you. Remarkably, there is still dirt caked to the spikes from a diamond shared with such American League heroes as Cobb, Jackson, and, of course, the Babe. Early "Spalding" tags in each tongue, and strong wear which has resulted in nothing that could be considered damage except for an inch-long tear on the outside of the left shoe. Display value is still a 10/10 though. And the historic importance? It would take a hundred pages to explain. To top it off, we have a handwritten LOA from Harry Hooper!
