Handsome felt, this pennant of James Jeffries and Tom Sharkey from the early 20th century is of the two great combatants re-creating their legendary clashes for the vaudeville stage. Most importantly, this is not a souvenir but something that was hung "at the venue" (on-site) based on the "In Person - In Action" wording and the great size, hence, the rarity of this stellar piece. It is also early 1900s based on the style. This pennant would have been strung up to attract patrons, early pennants are a form of American textile art and should be regarded as such. Measures 15x38" and has a couple of tears and wear.
