As the sport of lacrosse gains in popularity, this vintage trophy points to the long history of this venerable sport. Dating over a century ago, this 14x16" cup reads on the bottom, "Lacrosse Championship Trophy, Presented by Robert M. Thompson, to the Public Schools Athletic League, 1910" with lacrosse players on opposite sides and 13 engraved arrowhead-shaped fixtures symbolizing the Native Americans, each engraved with the winning high school and year; eight of those wrap around the middle and five are on the bottom. Years listed range from 1910-1915, 1917, 1925-1926, 1928-1931, and there is some wear but most of us would want to look so good at 106 years old.
