In spring of 1971 Frank Sinatra needed to find a way to be at the Ali-Frazier "Fight Of The Century." And Sinatra being Sinatra, he needed to be up front. Tickets were scarce, even for the Chairman of the Board, so Sinatra found his way to ringside by taking on the role of a guest photographer for LIFE, which was looking for photos to accompany Norman Mailer’s story. One of his photographs made the cover of LIFE and four others were published inside. We offer an original, first generation photo, shot by Sinatra at ringside depicting action in the ring. A 10.5x13" photo shot for friends, cartouche on the matting reads "Photo by Frank Sinatra." Vintage signatures on the matting include Sinatra, Ali (inscribed to power broker Herb Berman), George Raft, Connie Francis, Maureen Stapleton and others. Framed to 17x21" and one of a kind, this is in EX-NRMT condition and comes with full letter from PSA/DNA.
