An ornate piece, this oil lamp represents the 1876 Hartford Dark Blues baseball team. The original cast metal base of this type is rarely seen, and features a mustachioed player ready to swing, with "Hartford" across the beltline of the uniform and an "H" on the chest. The heavy base measures a square 5.5x5.5" and 15" high, and the original glass chimney (included, separate) adds 9" to this stately piece. Sturdy, yet delicate; ornate, yet functional, this is a beautiful work.
