Immortalized in the movie "A League of Their Own," the All American Girls Pro Baseball League (AAGPL) was formed in 1943 to fill the gap in baseball as many men left to fight World War II. This rare 1944 yearbook covers the previous season in which the Racine Belles won the inaugural World's Championship. Included in the 48-page keepsake are nine signatures from team members on the back cover in pencil, some faded badly. The yearbook also features team shots of all league members among other great info, and it is in GD-VG condition.
