On June 24, 1947 (rescheduled from May 30th), at the Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, Welterweight Champion Sugar Ray Robinson defended his title against Jimmy Doyle. Robinson stopped Doyle in the 8th round with a stinging left hook at the bell. Doyle could not come out for the 9th round and subsequently died from the injuries he sustained in this bout. Offered here is an original stubless ticket for this event, which pictures and names the fighters. It has a tear along the right edge, bold color and print and bold, clear images, in overall Good condition. Exceptionally rare, even as a stubless ticket, this is from one of Robinson's most famous fights. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.
