Countersigned by general manager and HOFer, Ed Barrow, the man responsible for the historic decision to move Ruth from pitcher to the outfield. It is special to see these three signatures on one document. Check is stamped with "Yankees $7,288 and 01 cents"; NRMT. At the time, Babe Ruth was paid this amount every two weeks.
