Issued during the golden age of Little League Baseball, the inside of this 10k gold Balfour ring bears the original owners initials, "EY," which stands for Film Editor Emerson Yorke, who specialized in newsreels and served on the Board of Directors until August 28, 1953. A film crew for Emerson Yorke filmed Carl Stotz, who started and coined the name "Little League" and other officials at Memorial Field for a variety of newsreels in the early years beginning in 1940. Each season brought more media, which was very important, as it publicized Little League throughout the country during the formative years. Incised inside are the 10k Balfour marking and one side reads Board of Directors. On either side are two different dates, indicating the years he served, 1950 on one side and 1953 on the other side. Also, on the other side, is "Character, Courage, and Loyalty." The gold value alone is approximately $325, and this gem is in NRMT condition.
