These are truly magnificent oversized cabinet cards by historically significant New York City photographers, the Pach Brothers. Based upon the address of the photographers and the graduation dates on the uniforms, the photos are from 1890 through possibly as late as 1892. Displaying great clarity, resolution and contrast, the cards are on heavy board with gold gilt trim and lettering against a black background. The photograph with the "92" on some of the shirts, which we believe to be their graduation date, includes a very famous Yalie, William Walter "Pudge" Hefflefinger. He is in the back row and is the tallest of those standing. The albumen prints measure 8x10" and are in gorgeous, like-new condition. Stunning images such as these are rarely found individually let alone as a matched pair. Freshly picked from a New Hampshire lakes region home, they are in NRMT condition.
