A nice memento, this authentic wool flannel jersey is circa late 1940s. It's a home white Red Sox top, with "Tim McAuliffe Inc." manufacturers' tag along with size "46" tag inside the collar and vintage Red Sox lettering across the button-front, which features red piping on the front, collar and sleeves. The two-tone number 20 is stitched directly on back, in red felt with black trim. Has vent holes under each arm and some yellowing with age but no noticeable tears or repairs, and the jersey is in EX condition. Bosox who wore this number in that era include Walt Masterson (1949), Fritz Dorish (1947-49), Earl Caldwell (1948), and Mike Ryba (1942-46).
