For a new appreciation of the "padding" won by football gladiators nearly a century ago, check out this circa 1920s Wilson helmet. Endorsed by Red Grange, it displays light use, is in EX+ condition and comes with original chin strap. The back side of the helmet is stamped "Regulation" and "Red Grange," while the other side has the Thomas E. Wilson logo and model number 77H. The dark brown leather is nearly flawless, though this artifact does show its age.
