This condition book dates from the Belmont Stakes for 1919. Sir Barton, the winner of the first Triple Crown, became the first horse to win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes in 1919, doing so before they even coined the phrase "Triple Crown." This was the last of the three races, so this in effect is the first Triple Crown book ever! The rare book is from the Westchester racing Association's 1919 spring meet from May 22nd through June 11th. Full-color illustrated cover, measures 4.75x6.75", 128 pages with no writing, and in EX condition.
