Mickey Mantle was known to have hung around a few bars in his day. And this rare vintage painting from his early days also hung inside a bar, on the wall of a Connecticut tavern, in fact. It was painted early in his career and it exhibits a truly intriguing layer of smoke residue, which could be removed and cleaned but somehow adds character, in our estimation. It is signed by a local artist named Backstrom and measures roughly 13.5x18".
