Here is a magnificent photographic album dedicated to one game - the third annual All Star Game, played at Cleveland Stadium on July 8, 1935. The first page reads "Pictures by Fanning & Son," and each petite snapshot-style photograph has a typed caption with titles, and measuring 3.5x2.75". The album includes a play-by-play synopsis of the game with entries such as, "1st Inning. Gehringer is forced at second, when Gehrig hit a roller to Terry, Herman's relay was too late for a double play. Foxx next up, after a count of two and three, hits homer into left field stands scoring behind Gehrig. Johnson flies out." Fifteen photos are included and one has been removed with a note: "Photo is taken by the Fanning Family." Album measures 7x11.5" and has black tape neatly reinforcing the cover, light staining to cover, and inside, extremely well-executed. Created with loving care, we have never seen anything quite like this before.
