Here's a dandy dozen of single-signed baseballs spanning the 20th century with Brooklyn and L.A. players in the spotlight. Most of the earlier balls in the collection are from the estate of Jim Armstrong, the autograph collecting pioneer who went on a mission (starting in the 1940s) to obtain signed baseballs from every major league ballplayer. Each of these specimens is on official National or American League baseballs, with the earlier ones sporting a protective coating and slight yellowing. The signatures range from 5 to 9/10 with most being at least 7/10. The lot includes Zack Taylor, Billy Herman, Dolph Camilli, Eddie Stack, Schoolboy Rowe, Max Butcher, Norm Larker, Delino DeShields, Craig Counsell, Daryl Spencer, Brett Butler and Art Fowler.
