The date was June 24, 1970 and it was the end of an era in Cincinnati. The venerable, 58-year-old Crosley Field played host to its final two games - a doubleheader sweep of the San Francisco Giants - as the first-place Reds got set to move across town to the cement donut known as Riverfront Stadium. From that historic final day at Crosley comes this unique item - a rosin bag that is still full and marked "Official National League Rosin Bag." It comes with a letter from the man who picked it up off the field after Barry Bonds grounded out for the final out at the ballpark. As he states in his letter, he was one of two men who worked for the Reds and were assigned to moving home plate over to the new Riverfront Stadium.
