Included in this interesting piece of baseball Americana is illustrations of a dozen various cigar and table lighters, circa mid-1910s. Included in the mix of images is one of a period football and baseball player, and while the brochure has mailing folds it rates in VG condition. Included is a letter from the Wedlich Brothers Mfg. Co., dated December 11, 1916, which lists the inventory and pricing information for the lighters depicted in the brochure. It also indicates the company's intention to discontinue the manufacture of lighters when their "present supply of sparking metal is exhausted," due to price increases. The end of an era.
