This magnificent relic was found during a house clean-out in Detroit. They were stowed away in an attic, inside a box that also contained a 1940s Detroit Stars printing plate and letter to the manager of the Detroit Stars, V.L. Wilson. Upon further research, it was discovered that the house was once the residence of Wilson. Gray flannel jersey spells "DETROIT" across the front in red felt, with the same felt on the back in red reading, "11." Wilson tagging indicates a size 38 in the collar. Shows nice use and comes with the original pants, but with #15 written in the size 36 waist. Also, comes with a pair of vintage spikes that were found with this uniform with Lowe & Cambell tagging, a sporting goods company in Detroit. No laces but otherwise original. Negro League jerseys are few and far between.
