Just one year after winning their first-ever World Series, the Brooklyn Dodgers found themselves back in the Fall Classic. While most teams issued pins to members of the visiting press, the Dodgers took a different tack. This tie clasp, which is in NRMT condition, was of the kind issued to the media for home games played during the 1956 Series. Including Dieges and Clust stamp on the back, this is a keepsake of the dwindling days of the Brooklyn era. Not only did "Dem Bums" suffer the indignity of the Yankees getting even for the Dodgers' win in '55, but the team would pack up and head to the west coast after the following season.
