The Dodgers, encouraged by the US State Department, made an important goodwill tour to Japan following the 1956 season, even visiting Hiroshima, which had been the recipient of the U.S. atomic bomb just 11 years earlier. This lot includes seven ticket stubs and a program from that tour. Ticket stubs are printed entirely in Japanese and feature a host of colorful graphics, including the Brooklyn logo. The condition varies from GD to VG-EX as there are creases, though they display as VG to EX. The dates are October 21, 1956; November 3, 1956 (3); November 7, 1956; November 6, 1956; and November 10, 1956. Also includes a rare program from that same Dodgers' exhibition, with a Duke Snider lookalike on the back cover. It includes pictures of the Dodgers and their Japanese rivals and has soiling and paper loss.
