Muhammad Ali earned the World Heavyweight title by defeating Canadian George Chuvalo on March 29, 1966, in Chuvalo's home country. Both fighters are pictured on the cover of this vintage signed program, which was personalized by Chuvalo on the cover. The 5.5x8.5" program is unscored, in VG condition and contains a promotional photo of Chuvalo that is tipped in on the second page. The photo is also signed and personalized. Ali called Chuvalo "the toughest guy I ever fought," and that was consistent with the fact that Chuvalo was never knocked down in any of his 93 professional bouts. The two would meet in the ring three years later, with Ali earning yet another victory by decision.
