One of the greatest feats in sports came to an end on July 17, 1941, as Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak came to a grinding halt in Cleveland. "Joltin' Joe" was twice victimized by third baseman Ken Keltner, who made dazzling plays to keep him hitless on the afternoon. Here's a ticket stub and scorecard cover from that memorable game. The ticket has some tape stains but otherwise is in VG condition. The program cover was retained by the same fan that had the ticket, with the guts of the program having been lost over time. Amazingly, DiMaggio recorded hits in 16 straight games after that fateful day in Ohio.
