Timing is everything. Seven years after the Yankees' 1934 barnstorming tour, Babe Ruth signed this 10.5" x 8.5" original photo not too long before the start of World War II, when Japan would become an enemy of the state. The Bambino signed it: "To Agnes Kavanagh, Sincerely Babe Ruth 1941." It is completely in Ruth's hand with the writing and signature in MINT bold fountain ink. The photo, which is of the highest quality to match the signature, grades EX-MT with rarely seen raised Japanese photographer's blind stamp cartouche at the bottom right-hand corner. JSA LOA included. One of the finest Babe Ruth signed photographs extant.
