Touch Gold was best known as the winner of the 1997 Belmont Stakes, during which he ended Silver Charm's bid for the Triple Crown. For his career, the thoroughbred won six of 15 races, including the Belmont and highly prestigious Haskell Invitational as Touch Gold did just that, amassing winnings approaching $1.2 million.
