Cal Ripken, Jr. authored one of the most famous streaks in all of sports, appearing in 2,632 consecutive games between 1982 and 1998. The eventual "Iron Man" began his remarkable streak quite unassumingly on May 30, 1982 in Baltimore as he played third base during a 6-0 loss to Toronto. From that seemingly innocuous game comes this quite uncommon package that includes a ticket stub, which is torn almost half an inch from the perforation making for a larger display area. There are no creases and it grades EX-MT+. There's also an original program from that day that features Eddie Murray on the cover (unscored with a small chip missing from the cover) and is EX. There's also the giveaway children's T-Shirt from Esskay Hotdogs (EX). All three items were obtained from the person who attended his first major league game as a child that day. Ripken went on to shatter Lou Gehrig's record on September 6, 1995, then decided himself not to play on September 20, 1998, putting an official end to "The Streak."
