He blossomed into a superstar in 1981 and captured the attention of baseball fans in America as well as his native Mexico. Fernando Valenzuela was a phenomenon, earning both National League Rookie of the Year and Cy Young honors that strike-shortened summer, adding the Silver Slugger Award and World Series championship for good measure. This was one of the white Size 44 home jerseys Fernando wore during that championship season, and it shows nice game use. There's a WA Goodman and Sons tag in the collar, an arm patch and World Series patch. There are a couple of minor stains but otherwise is an excellent example.
