This is quite simply one of the best quality antique boxing pieces we have ever handled. 1920s boxing superstar Jack Dempsey is depicted in magnificent detail standing with his gloves waist-high in this 15"-tall, top-quality porcelain statue manufactured by one of the most respected companies in the business (note the famous blue crossed swords on the back - the oldest trademark in the business). Starch white with glaze, the creation stands on its original wood base and is quite unusually screwed on. Undoubtedly based on a photo of Dempsey in his prime, pre-Tunney, the statue is in MINT condition and is an unqualified knockout!
