In 1994, Holy Bull won the Eclipse Award for champion three-year-olds and was voted Horse of the Year, having won the Travers, the Florida Derby, the Blue Grass, the Met Mile, the Haskell, the Woodward, the Dwyer and the Hutcheson. At the peak of his popularity, Holy Bull was getting fan mail by the tens of thousands delivered to him at his barn. And the cherry on the sundae is that he has enjoyed a prosperous stud career, siring one of the Kentucky Derby's biggest upset winners: Giacomo at 50-1. For his efforts on the track, Holy Bull was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001 and Blood Horse ranked him 64th on its list of Top 100 Racehorses of the 20th Century.
