Back before the Beatles and Woodstock, the Washington Redskins played football with deep maroon helmets such as this difficult model with signature feather painted across the top. From the early 1960s comes this vintage helmet with single-bar Riddell facemask and game-used decal consisting of five separate pieces which have been verified through extensive research through the company that supplied such decals for most NFL teams during that decade. There are no discernible markings tying the helmet to one particular player but there is moderate wear.
