The late 1970s/early 1980s Pirates were known for their numerous uniform combinations, one of which was a pinstriped combo exhibited on this jersey worn by shortstop Frank Taveras during the 1978 season. The beautiful alternate home jersey is all original, shows perfect use and is in amazing condition. "Pirates" and "10" adorn the front and "10" is stitched on the back. There is Descente tagging on the front tail with "10 40 78" strip tag. Taveras once played 164 games in one season (1979 with both the Pirates and Mets) and swiped 300 bases over his 12-year career, including an NL-best 70 in 1977.
