1970 marked the ninth World Cup, and the first ever to be held in North America. Mexico served as host with Brazil beating fellow two-time champion Italy for the championship. From that landmark event comes this rare, colorful, framed poster that is the first of its kind we have seen. The trilingual poster reads: "COPA DEL MUNDO WORLD CUP 1970 COUPE DU MONDE" with "MEXICO" and "DEL 31 DE MAYO AL 24 DE JUNIO" printed in smaller fonts atop the art. In original frame, measures 24.5x36" and presents as NM. One of the tougher posters of the era and from a classic Pele series.
