The Galloping Ghost is shown here signing his first production contract with noted Hollywood director Sam Wood. Wood had an affinity for sports films (Pride of the Yankees) to join his significant Marx Brothers resume. This contract-signing spawned the silent Grange. The signature is gigantic on its own (6 inches long with a towering 2 inch G). It was signed circa 1926 based on the ink and style. Signature is mint, photo is EX+ and mounted on very heavy board. Was mounted for later display by "Banks Film Library" with address and phone number on verso.
