On September 9, 1979, the St. Louis Cardinals held "Lou Brock Day" at Busch Stadium, and this phenomenal photo album was one of the gifts presented to the stolen base king by the club and its owner, August Busch, Jr. The wood front cover is distinguished by a plaque and photo of Lou on front. Inside are 53 original color photos, which include pre-game, on-field celebrations and presentations, game action and postgame shots. Are all covered here. The back cover is also wood and the entire book is in EX condition. St. Louis lost to the Expos, 4-1 that afternoon, but Brock walked twice and, naturally, stole a base in a losing effort. A truly one-of-a-kind item that is historical and special to baseball and Cardinals history.
