Like a father and his two sons, this artwork created by John Martin in 2001 depicts three notables in Cubs uniforms: negro leagues star John “Buck” O’Neil, who was the first black coach in the Major Leagues, eventual Hall-of-Famer Lou Brock, whom O'Neil discovered and signed to his first big-league contract, and fellow Hall of Famer Ernie Banks, who also considered O'Neil a father figure. Each of these prints is numbered as this was a limited edition of 1500. They are also signed on the bottom border in 8/10 pencil by the artist, Banks, O'Neil and Brock. The lithos measure 24x18.5" and average EX-MT.
