Eye-popping psychedelic work by the 1985 Sports Artist of the Year, Donald Moss (d. 2010). The "Say Hey Kid" bats as a Giant in striking treatment of his helmeted head. Brilliant early 1970s work that perfectly befits the era. Moss began painting for Sports Illustrated in the mid-1950s and is perhaps best known for his famed 1974 Sports Illustrated cover of the Ali-Foreman Zaire fight. The original frame measures to roughly 17.5" x 30" and is signed by Moss on the back. We have seen this piece published but frustratingly we are not sure where. We believe it is Sports Illustrated but cannot guarantee it. Regardless, it is of that quality by far.
