The custom painted goalie mask is the most exciting and instantly recogniza-ble piece of equipment in the game. Grant Fuhr has donned many styles and designs, but none as striking as this one, worn during his tenure in net for the Buffalo Sabres. This Itech custom molded helmet, in shades of blue and yellow, was put together by the best in the business. Paint scheme features an American Indian motif with images of the Great White Buffalo and a mounted brave. The old-style Sabres logo appears on the forehead, with "Fuhr" on the chin and five small Stanley Cups across the backplate. Frank Wright manufactured (and signed) the mask and his label is affixed inside. Another label reads "Fuhr Mask 93-94". This work of art was designed by Marlene Brown and painted by artist-to-the-stars Frank Cipra in 1993, as noted in ink inside the helmet. The mask shows good game use including a few chips and puck marks with moderate interior wear and staining. Original straps, padding and sweatband intact.
