Clearly. Mark McGwire's stock has dropped over the past decade or so, but that hardly diminishes the importance of some special stuff here. All are official National League (Coleman) balls, three of which are game-used and personalized with notations to Red. Among those is a ball from the August 28, 1998 game when McGwire set the 50-50-50 record; another from September 1, 1998 when he hit his NL-record 56th and 57th homers; and the big one (at least back then) from September 27, 1998 when he became the first player to hit the 70-home run mark. Six other balls are single-signed from 1998 and grade EX-MT with signatures that average 8/10. Needless to say, Red obtained these signatures in person.
