You've heard of "The King's Speech." Well, here's the "Red's Speech." Two decades ago, Cardinals great Red Schoendienst was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, five years after he was enshrined in Cooperstown. Here's the plaque he received that day, as well as the 16-page induction speech written in Red's hand. The award reads: "JOHN Q. HAMMONS MISSOURI SPORTS HALL OF FAME RED SCHOENDIENST ENSHRINED AS A MEMBER JANUARY 11, 1994 IN RECOGNITION OF YOUR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GAME OF BASEBALL." It measures 12" x 15" and is in NRMT condition.
