Carlos Monzon (born on August 7, 1942) won the Argentine Middleweight Title on September 3, 1966. On June 10, 1967 he won the South American Middleweight Title. He captured the World Middleweight Title from Nino Benvenuti on November 7, 1970 and retired as champion on August 29, 1977. His final record was 89-3-8 with 61 KO's and one no-contest. Presented here is a collection of items for this great champion, including a signed 8" x 10" photo (JSA-NRMT), a stubless ticket for the Monzon-Briscoe fight (PSA/DNA-1972), an Argentine medal given at the fight (EX) and exhibition and training-worn trunks of Monzon with Conti label (stained-LOA from Ariel Gonzalez who got the trunks from Monzon). Few items remain that commemorate this great world champion.
