Boy do we now believe in miracles! These full tickets come from the Olympic hockey semifinal and final games at Lake Placid in February of 1980. Famously, the Friday semifinal was the "Miracle on Ice" game during which the Americans shocked the heavily-favored Soviet team, while the Sunday championship game saw the United States knock off Finland for the Gold Medal. Both tickets are matted, with the matching frames measuring 10.75" x 5.75". They are in NRMT condition, as far as the eye can see without looking below the matting. The Soviet team had won nearly every world championship and Olympic tournament since 1954, making the previously anonymous U.S. Hockey team instant national heroes after completing their stirring, 4-3, come-from-behind victory. The anti-climactic championship game, the Americans trailed at the start of the third period but scored three straight goals to win 4-2.
