The Rolling Stones' 1978 "Some Girls" release was the band's most successful studio album, selling over six-million copies domestically. That June and July, Mick Jagger and the boys went out on tour, using this original tour poster and its interesting back story. Supposedly, the model was the Premier of China's daughter. Premier Zhou had demanded final approval of the poster before the Stones could sell it. When he saw the way his daughter was depicted, he refused to give permission. It was too late to put together different theme art, so there was no "official" tour poster that year. Framed and in NRMT condition, the poster measures 23" x 34". "Some Girls" featured the #1 hit single "Miss You" as well as popular tracks "Beast of Burden" and "Shattered" among others.
