Though their name sounds incredibly racist by today's standards, the Four Ink Spots (later just known as The Ink Spots) were an Indianapolis-based vocal group that helped shape the origins of rhythm and blues. Their 1939 breakthrough hit - "If I Didn't Care" - is singled out right on the poster, which promotes a performance with "their N.B.C. Orchestra" at the Norwich University Armory in Northfield, Vermont on Friday, May 3, 1940. This lovely window card is a 22" x 14" rarity and in beautiful condition.
