The Cornhuskers' Memorial Stadium was completed after just 90 days of construction and dedicated on Oct. 20, 1923, at the Homecoming game in which Nebraska was held to a scoreless tie by Kansas. This faded red and white pennant measures 16.5" x 6" and reads: "U of N HOME COMING OCT. 20, 1923 STADIUM DEDICATION." The banner is in EX condition with white tassels still intact. The Huskers went 4-2-2 that season, and would upset Notre Dame, 14-7, in their very next home game on November 10. It was the Fighting Irish's only blemish in a 9-1 season.
