This rare Victorian game was marketed by McLoughlin Bros., Inc. - a New York publishing firm that pioneered the systematic use of color printing technologies in children's books, making them perhaps the finest game manufacturer of all. There are two pieces here, with one containing the directions on the back. The other is a colorful litho of a golf course with dozens of red and blue circles, presumably on which to move tokens. There is a lower flap, which appeared to have once housed game pieces. The splendid, full-color lithography is in exemplary condition and Measures 15.5" x 14.5".
