Time to pick up the check! Namely, a Germantown, Maryland check hand-written by Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson on April 10, 1942, seven years after his last managerial job with the Cleveland Indians concluded. "The Big Train" paid a grand total of four dollars to a Rufus B. King and signed the check in 9/10 ink. It was stamped PAID six days later, and there are a couple of stamps on the reverse as well. There's a smudge on the front and one crease in the middle, and is overall in NRMT condition.
