A trio of Hall of Fame Yankee legends graces this terrific lot. Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Joe McCarthy all signed in 7.5/10 pencil on a "Mrs. Frank H. Becker" placecard from the 1939 World's Fair in New York City. The card is in EX condition and has writing on the back: "WORLD'S FAIR SEPT 9TH 1939, GAME LEFTYS AND RIGHTYS." The 1939 Yankees - who were managed by McCarthy - blitzed the American League with a ridiculous 106-45 record, outdistancing the Red Sox by 17 games en route to their 11th pennant before sweeping the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series to become the first club to win four straight titles. DiMaggio won the batting title at .381 while Gehrig called it a career two years before succumbing to the disease that would later bear his name. Encapsulated as authentic by PSA.
